Goal for a self sufficient camper not carrying patrol gear is less than 15lbs total for all gear, clothes, and pack for summer backpacking. The rest of the weight will be food and water. Winter will be heavier with additional clothes and heavier sleeping gear.
Backpack: Look for under 2lbs with around 60l capacity like the Qidian Pro. Use the inflation bag from sleeping pad as a pack liner for items that must stay dry.
Sleeping gear: Summer weight down sleeping bags are around 1lbs and packs down to the size of 2 soda cans. Lite inflatable sleeping pads like Exped Ultra 1R are around 1lbs. Get the smaller sizes or 3/4 length. Small camping pillow to be supplemented with clothes and back pack.
Tent: A one person hiking pole tent like a Lanshan 1 will be under 2lbs not counting the hiking poles. A two person tent like the Lanshan 2 is almost the same weight.
Gear: rain fly, pocket knife, headlamp, trowel, bowl cup spoon, first aid pouch, toiletry kit with camp towel, water purifier, water bottles, rain poncho that also covers pack or rain gear and pack cover, cooking gear, electronics gear (phone, battery, solar, etc), compass and map, journal and pen, lightweight line like Dyneema for clothes line or rain fly ridge line.
Clothing: hat, rain gear, down vest, hiking socks, hiking shoes, running shorts, wicking shirts.
Note about smellables and bears and skunks. Animals are attracted to food smells. Do not cook under the tent rain fly or eat in the tent. Skunks, chipmunks, and raccoons will tear through a tent or backpack. It rains. Bring a small lightweight rain fly for shelter where cooking and eating. Hang food in trees, keep food prep and cooking gear away from tenting area at night. Water bottles that have had flavored drinks do not go in tent. Other smellables include lip balm, sun screen, baby powder.
