Nathan Wangdahl completed his Eagle Scout Project in November, 2022. During the Pandemic, Ft. Smallwood Park installed 3 fishing piers. They previously had 1 fishing pier that had a bait table. Nathan’s project was to build 3 bait tables for those new piers. The piers are used on a daily basis, and these bait tables will enable the fishermen to bait their lines, make repairs, clean fish, and more. His design improved upon the original pier by adding a shelf on the bottom, as well as installing trex decking as the top to better withstand the weather.

The next time you're at Ft. Smallwood Park, stop by and take a look at these bait tables! Congratulations Nathan!

Daniel Schneider completed his Eagle Scout project in July, 2022.

His project was to clean up, add fresh mulch and build a new arbor in the Mother's Garden at Down's Park! This is a popular spot for photos and weddings, so we know it’s appreciated. Thank you to all the friends, family and businesses who donated to help make this project successful! Thank you Troop 1785 Scouts and parents who assisted and lent many helping hands! We appreciate all the support! Himmel's Landscape and Garden Center & 84 Lumber. Congratulations Daniel!

Nathan Harris completed his Eagle Scout Project in September, 2021.

After months of planning and coordinating with several businesses on his own, Nathan did a great job in August 2021 leading his Troop as they worked together completing his Eagle Scout Project - a rain garden next to the new playground at Down's Park.

This 30' x 35' rain garden includes native plants and grasses that will reduce runoff, help filter pollutants in the runoff and provide food and shelter for butterflies, birds and other wildlife. Stop by and check out this amazing garden. Congratulations Nathan!!
